Everything we do, we do by degrees: whether that’s how we develop our concept stage by stage, bring our team together, measure and improve our impact on the environment, how we support and employ members of the local community, every variable is considered, every outcome is measured- we are constantly learning and improving.
Hence, we named the project ˚CELSIUS: a movement for improvement working with nature - not against it, through constant nurturing and degrees of change, using geothermal energy and resources as our inspiration.

TURNING A GEOTHERMAL DREAM INTO REALITY
It all begins with an idea. We had a vision inspired by the Eden Project to see if we could tropically mature rum in the UK using a geothermally heated biome. We then won a BEIS Green Distillery competition and explored how we could distill rum using geothermal energy. Now we’ve equipment on-site and are ready to connect our project to the UK’s first operational deep geothermal project.
